Mediation is the future...

The government says no more going to court without trying Mediation first!

Suzanne is now actively carrying out mediations in order to help families separate and divorce. Mediation is now being actively promoted by the Government and Court Systems as a better and low cost way of divorcing and separating. Soon all divorcing and co-habiting couples will be required to attend compulsory mediation. I recently read in the Law Society Gazette (www.lawgazette.co.uk/news) an article in which Jonathan Djonogly, Minister for Justice has spoken out several times about "the benefits of mediation. He says "..can provide a quicker, cheaper, less stressful outcome and allow parties to communicate directly rather than through solicitors or across a court room".

Mediation is a voluntary process through which parties can try to reach agreement on all issues surrounding their divorce or separation including financial matters and in relation to arrangement for the children.
